‘We are bringing photography back to the city’. Under this motto, C/O Berlin offered its visitors a digital extension of the exhibition programme for the first time. Different visual worlds and themes from the programme were brought to life in public spaces. Using augmented reality, the app transformed billboards in underground stations into images from the exhibitions in the Amerika Haus on smartphone screens. In addition, brief information about the exhibition, a map with locations and instructions invited users to visually rediscover Berlin's urban space.
