Werkstatt für Photographie
Museum Folkwang, C/O Berlin Foundation, Sprengel Museum Hannover
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the workshop for photography, the three-part exhibition project presented the history, the influences and effects of the workshop for photography founded by the Berlin photographer Michael Schmidt in 1976 at the Volkshochschule Kreuzberg. The workshop for photography, which exists until 1986, acquires an international level through intensive exhibitions, workshops and specialized courses and establishes a transatlantic dialogue in photography in Europe. Naroska created an appearance for the three exhibitions that opened at the same time, which was expressed by the use of a dominant typography. A 360-page book about the workplace for photography, which is already described as a standard work, was developed.
