ARL – Akademie für Raumforschung und Landesplanung,
Leibniz-Forum für Raumwissenschaften
The Akademie für Raumforschung und Landesplanung (ARL), Leibniz Forum für Raumwissenschaften, is an independent body of public law of supraregional importance and national scientific interest. It was founded in 1946 and is a forum and competence center for the investigation of spatial structures and developments, their causes and effects, as well as their political-planning-control possibilities.
The academy brings together the fields of economy, social, ecology and culture in its research, thereby gaining an innovative, holistic perspective on the complex, social challenges. Their research results form the basis for independent scientific advice on politics, administration and society as well as for education and training in order to shape the future.
The Corporate Design is based on the initial letters of the Akademie für Raumforschung und Landesplanung ARL as well as a square as the simplest definition for space.
